Downtown Boulder is being transformed with condos and lofts over retail spaces. Some of the current projects underway in the downtown area are listed on the left. Several years ago, Boulder closed Pearl Street in the downtown area and it became the "
Pearl Street Mall". The area flourished with restaurants and retail stores, as well as, banks, shopping, and professional offices. Now the area has come alive not only during the day, but at night as well. It is just, lively. The population has found "urban living" and Boulder does it with flair.
The downtown area is bounded by the University on the south and Mapleton on the north and runs west to the foothills and east to 28th Street. Condominiums and townhomes in this area start at $200,000 and can go well over $1,000,000.
