I have lived in Boulder since I was 18, when I moved here to go to school. I have been involved in Real Estate in Boulder for over 30 years, so I speak with some authority about what is happening in Boulder.
We are in the midst of a renaissance. Boulder has many strengths as a City - there's the University of Colorado, certainly one of the most beautiful campuses anywhere; a beautiful location against the Flatirons; many many cultural/sporting activities; and a very outdoor oriented community.
We have bike paths that circle the City. We have elite runners, bikers and mountain climbers. We have any kind of restaurant that you could imagine. There are many talented people living here. There are all kinds of theaters, musicians, and film festivals. Boulder Creek runs through the City.
The real estate within the City is being rebuilt. We are like some other locales becoming the "New Urban Village. You can live and work in your same location, and you can be in the middle of everything happening. Or you can live in the Mountains, 5 minutes from Boulder. Your choice. For instance, want to join a Group that specializes in "New Ideas?" Join Meetup.com. They meet once a month to pitch at least 6 new ideas.
The vitality of this Community is in its inhabitants. We are a High Tech Community, with many start ups. The University has a "Research Park" dedicated to Start Ups. If you want vitality in your life, consider the community for a SECOND HOME.
And please call if you have any questions.
